Liechtenstein is the sixth smallest country in Europe. It’s a landlocked nation located between Austria and Switzerland and is a German-speaking country.

While visiting Liechtenstein, you might be wondering how to reach it from Germany in an economical way.

In this blog, we’ll share a guide on how to reach Liechtenstein..

You can start your journey from Munich to Lindau-Reutin. I recommend taking the regional train RE 96 from Munich. It's a 2-hour 50-minute journey. With a Deutschlandticket, you can travel to Lindau-Reutin free of charge.

From Lindau-Reutin to Feldkirch, you’ll need to purchase a ticket from Bregenz to Feldkirch, which costs around €19 per person. It’s about a 45-minute train ride.

If you’re looking for a cheaper option, you can also check BlaBlaCar — prices usually range between €5 and €10.

From Feldkirch to Vaduz, Liechtenstein, you can take a bus. The ride takes around 50 minutes and costs about €5.

The bus departs directly from outside the Feldkirch train station and stops in several towns across Liechtenstein, so you can get off at different stops depending on your destination.

Pro tip:

Accommodation in Liechtenstein is usually quite expensive, but you can stay in Feldkirch instead. In our case, we stayed near the Feldkirch Bahnhof, which was very convenient for visiting Liechtenstein.
