Are you going to Budapest and looking for the best place to stay in Budapest?
Take our advice on staying at Baltazar Hotel in the historical old town of Buda in Budapest, and we promise you that you will thank us for the amazing recommendation.

When you are visiting any city, it’s not always a great idea to stay in the hotels belonging to bigger chains, but what would be best is to stay in the local hotels and immerse yourself in the local vibes of the city.
How should we start sharing our lovely experience of staying at Baltazar Hotel?
First question comes first: What’s the History of Baltazar Hotel, and how is it unique from other hotels?

Baltazar Hotel Budapest is an award-winning and family-owned boutique hotel that is located in the World Heritage Buda Castle district.

The hotel is owned by the Zsidai Family, and they have been a part of the gastronomy industry for more than 37 years. They have two Boutique Hotels in Budapest and several restaurants like Jamie Oliver's Italian, Pierrot, and 21 Hungarian cuisine.

The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Fisherman's Bastion and is located in the cobblestone neighborhood of the Gastronomic Quarter of Buda.
One of the unique features of the hotel is its Michelin-recommended Baltazár Grill restaurant, which offers a unique dining experience of Hungarian cuisine with the fusion of Charcoal grill.
How to reach the Baltazar Hotel:
The Baltazar Hotel is located in the Buda district, so it's a little far from the Central Train, and it takes around 20 minutes to reach the Hotel from Budapest Keleti.

The city transportation is quite good, so you can also reach the hotel by Public transport, or you can simply take a Bolt Taxi using the Bolt app; it’s quite cheap compared to taxis in Europe.
Our Experience at Baltazar Hotel:
We entered the hotel from the flashy Lobby, and it also has an open bar. The vibrant theme of the hotel gives such lovely Bohemian vibes. We were welcomed by the receptionist, and we had a smooth check-in experience.

Note that it's not a 24/7 open lobby, so make sure that you have informed the hotel about your arrival time in case you are checking in late.
After the check-in, the receptionist also explains about the Hotel and its offerings, and the touristy things to do in the Buda district. We got the card from the receptionist with all the information we will need for our stay.
Our rooms at Baltazar Hotel:
After checking in, we took an elevator to the 2nd floor, where our room was located. Baltazar has only 11 rooms, and each room is decorated with a different design, theme, and iconic artwork.

The hotel offers a Suite, a Family loft, a Garden room, and a Deluxe room. The Suite has a living room along with a bedroom, whereas the Family Loft has a king-size bed along with a living room with two bathrooms. We stayed in a Deluxe room, which has a king-size bed and a bathroom.

Undoubtedly, we literally felt the passion and love of Budapest city from the Ambience of our Hotel. Our room was full of luxury with vintage and modern furniture.
We had a beautiful painting on the wall behind the bed. The painting depicted the scene of a Bazaar where women are busy shopping.

Our bedding was so comfy with the finest cotton linen, down duvet covers, and fluffy pillows. What else do you need to make your stay comfortable?
The room also has a comfy sofa on one side and a huge writing table. We also had a Flat LCD TV, a music player that can be connected to a smartphone, WIFI internet, and air conditioning.

We have also got a welcome fruit along with complimentary water bottles and coffee capsules with a Nespresso coffee machine. Let’s talk about our Bathroom - We had a separate toilet and shower area, and the organic cosmetics by L’Occitane, France. The hotel has all the required amenities and toiletries, including hair dryers.
There was also a big closet to store your belongings during your stay, along with a locker.

Breakfast Experience at Baltazar Hotel:
The hotel offers a complimentary French Breakfast with every room reservation, but you need to reserve the room from the Baltazar Hotel website to get the breakfast.

You can enjoy breakfast at the Baltazar Grill restaurant - you can either sit inside the restaurant or sit outside on the cobblestone streets in the old district of Buda.
The Grill has a very funky yet elegant atmosphere inside as well. As we stayed two days at the hotel, we had the experience of sitting inside and outside, and loved it.

The French Breakfast includes 2 fluffy French croissants along with jam and butter, juice, a hot drink of your choice, and water.

If you want to have anything else for your breakfast, there’s also an option to choose the breakfast à la Carte for an extra cost.

Bar at Baltazar Hotel:
The bar at Baltazar Hotel is a hidden gem nestled within the heart of Budapest's historic Castle District. As weSwtep into this intimate and inviting space, and we were transported to a world of sophisticated elegance and refined indulgence.

The Baltazar lobby bar is a contemporary style with dim lighting, cozy seating, and tasteful decor, which offers a warm and sophisticated atmosphere for its guests. It’s the best place to unwind from the hectic day of exploring the city and indulge in the lively lives of Buda.
Ending Note:
Baltazar Hotel is our heartfelt recommendation for staying in Budapest. The hotel truly stands out from other hotels in terms of location, unique ambience, experience, and outstanding amenities. You get the chance to experience the local vibes and make the memories that will last a lifetime.
