During our trip to Riga, we stayed for two nights at Mercure Riga Centre. The Mercure Riga Centre hotel is in the best location you would imagine for your stay in Riga. It’s just 300 meters from the central train station and less than a 10-minute walk to Riga central bus station.
The hotel is within walking distance from the Riga Old town, Vecrīga. All the main landmarks, like Freedom Monument, National Opera, and Dome Square, are around 10 minutes walk from the hotel. It’s also highly accessible to travel around the city by public transport. The Bolt ride charges normally take less than 5 euros to reach any monument from the Hotel.
The Riga International airport is around 11 km from the hotel and accessible by public transport. Right next to the hotel, you can also find a shopping center, Origo, where you find many restaurants. Grocery stores and shops.
Mercure Riga Center Hotel is a 4-star hotel and a part of the Accor group. If you are already a member of Accor, then you also have a chance to get some discounts on your booking.
When we entered the hotel, the friendly and welcoming staff greeted and checked us in and explained all the facilities offered by the hotel.
Christmas Decoration:
As we stayed in the hotel during December, near Christmas, the hotel was decorated for Christmas and gave the holiday vibes. The hotel is the best place to stay during Christmas and enjoy the holiday with family.
The hotel has 24-hour reception support and assistance during our stay.
Our Room in Mercure Riga Centre:
Our room was very spacious in muted colors and one painted wall. We had a small wardrobe, working desk, and comfy sofa. Our room also has a LED TV installed above the working desk.
The best thing is that you get dedicated WIFI for your room. The internet was also fast. We must admit that it was one of the fastest internet facilities we got during our stay at any hotel. If you are a digital nomad or on a business trip, the Mercure Riga Center Hotel is the best place to stay.
The room has all the amenities, including room slippers, bath robes, towels, shampoo, soap, lotion, and a hair dryer. It also has a mini-bar and complimentary water bottles.

Breakfast at The Traveller Restaurant:
The Traveller restaurant offers the best breakfast buffet with various options as we stayed two nights in the hotel. We had breakfast in the Traveller restaurant on our first day.
There are lots of different options for freshly baked bread, cereals, Jam, and a variety of marmalades. They also have scrambled, fried, and boiled eggs and a live cooking station where you order the omelet of your choice.
You can also find crepes, croissants, Nutella, and fresh fruits and vegetables. There are also different pastries, dry fruits, and beans. There are fresh juices, a variety of coffees, and hot drinks in the beverages.
The other day, we had ordered our breakfast in our room. We filled out the breakfast form and customized the breakfast according to our preferences. We had crepes, croissants, omelets, and boiled eggs with fresh fruits and vegetables.
The Travellers restaurant also offers a variety of options for lunch and dinner. You can also get drinks from the bar.
Spa & Sauna at Mercure Riga Centre:
After spending a hectic day, what would be better than having a relaxing experience at Sauna?
Mercure Riga Centre has amazing Sauna facilities with Steam, Sauna, and a jacuzzi. We pampered ourselves and felt so relaxed after the Sauna experience, along with our fresh orange juice. The sauna is quite huge, with relaxing seats and soothing music. You need to make a booking with the hotel reception for the Sauna.
