Our Travel Expedition to Mallorca:
All ready for Mallorca!!
We traveled with a small bag pack with a Ryanair flight to Palma de Mallorca Airport from Dusseldorf, Germany. The duration of the flight was around 2 hours and 35 minutes.
After coming out of the airport, it felt like we were in the Middle East. It has so many Palm trees, which reminds us of my time in Dubai.
How to reach Palma city from the Airport?
If you leave the airport, you can see the bus stop just 5 minutes walk. There are always frequent connections from the Airport to Palma City. It took around 30 minutes to reach the city center.
Where to Stay in Mallorca:
You can use Booking.com to book your room in Palma de Mallorca or other parts of Mallorca, but If you going in Winter, we would recommend you to stay in Palma and visit all the places on the island from Palma City. During the winter, the weather is a bit cold near the sea. For the summer, it would be best to stay near beaches.
We booked our room in the hotel for 3 nights at Dalt Murada in Palma which depicts the old Spanish culture, heritage, and lifestyle. We would highly recommend staying in this hotel to enjoy a feel of Palma and its Moorish History. Our hotel was located right in the heart of Old City and was highly accessible by public transport.
The hotel room was vintage, with royal beds and other furniture. It has a unique style of paintings hanging on the walls. It also has a beautiful garden where you can enjoy breakfast. Most importantly, all the tourist spots, restaurants, and shopping streets are just 3-5 minutes on a walk.
After check-in at the hotel, we went straight to La Almudaina Palace and Cathedral de Mallorca, which was only 200 meters from our hotel. It was already night, and the view was so beautiful with less crowd.
There are 2 city walls around La Almudaina Palace and Cathedral de Mallorca, and the streets of the old city are just alluring and cast a magical spell on visitors as you pass through them.
Don't forget to experience the mesmerizing beauty of Cathedral de Mallorca from the other side of the main Road.
What would be a starting point for Exploring Mallorca?
This Mediterranean Island has plenty to offer, and for the next 2 days, we explored the best of Mallorca and the least tourist places. We rented a scooter for 2 days and explored most of Mallorca on the scooter from the North Western mountain region to the East side of Mallorca.
